People may not believe this but the "Little Drummer Boy" is my favorite christian song. It is such a testament of our lives and what Jesus is and/or should be to us. Whenever I feel down on myself, this is my go to song. It tell No matter how much money we have or what our worldly possessions are, they will never exceed His greatness. He accepts us as we are regardless to how rich or poor we are. He loves all of us the same,all he wants from us is our best!!! I have never heard this song and not had the same reaction............ I am always brought to tears. I think that I cry because I know that in spite of all of my flaws and imperfections, He still loves and accepts me. I acknowledge the fact that I am a work in progress, I am not perfect and everyday is a struggle. However, He loves me no less than he does a 30 year christian. God is not asking for smoke and mirrors, he wants us to come to Him naked. Stripped of all the worldly possessions, He only wants you........... I know that many of us say that real friends will love and accept you regardless and this may be true. But who do you know will love you like Him? Who will take you at your weakest, love you and build you up to what you know you are capable of? Who will keep you covered when you feel the world is against you? Man (mama, daddy...........) is subject to leave you but He never will!!!
ALL HE WANTS IS YOUR BEST...... YOUR BEST MAY NOT BE AS GREAT AS THE NEXT PERSON'S BEST BUT IT PLEASES HIM!!! GOD DOESN'T EXPECT ANYTHING FROM US THAT HE KNOWS YOU CAN'T PRODUCE, ALL HE WANTS IS YOUR BEST!!!!
